Thursday, September 30, 2004 - Crew is making me angry
I'll leave it at that fro right now, though I will be sure to explain at a later time, I am going to try and stay happy right now. I am now revising my English paper, due tomorrow, as I just finished writing it a couple of minutes ago. This is the first one I straight typed since las summer practically. I am cutting corners, lol, I didn't even do an outline for my history paper.(Which reminds me I have to type my thesis paragraph.
I am so relieved to have a host, now I can jazz the site up a bit (mood icons), put up new layouts more frequentyly, and other cool stuff. Unfortunately, I should probably be going. tenna' telwan.

Wednesday, September 29, 2004 - Papers and Crew
Yes, the two topics don't readily go with each each other, but does that really matter. Crew was not absolutely, but pretty gay. We ran two miles, then were informed because people cut yesterday, we had to run another mile. If that wasn't bad enough. I sat in the launch the entirty of practice with mike and his dog Lance. I thought I was supposed to get switched in, but whatever I guess. I know Amy was pissed at me cuz I missed practice on Monday, so I do kind of understand, but she gets too demanding sometimes. She says that there is no reason for anyone to be late ever, what about clubs, am I just supposed to skip them during crew season, I am sorry I am not going to give up all my clubs and other activities just for crew.
Also, I am writing my english paper, or was, rather. It is on The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemmingway. It wasn't too bad, though I must admit I missed major plot elements when I read it like the fact the main character had an injury that did not permit him to have sex, and that one of the characters was gay. My thesis is on the "personal integrity" of Robert Cohn and how he discloses it to others while facing the challenges of life. I am probably 1/4 to 1/3 of the way done.
Actually on to some real site news. A HOST ACCEPTED!! I am going to move the site asap, probably after this paper (due on Friday): this weekend. The new url will be http://british.elessar.us . Au revoir, I have to write some more before I retire.

Friday, September 24, 2004 - School is gay
Yes, overall, I would believe most people to agree with me there. I can't believe I gave my assignment paper to Sarah, so now I have to find some way to get it, which is really annoying. I want to do something this weekend. Maybe I will have to see what all the Township kids are doing. back to school though, Brother Jim, our new rector, who is really annoying, has us doing a minimum of 1 fire drills a day. Yesterday we had two. It is just getting ridiculously annoying. I will almost definitly be back on later as I will undoubtedly be working on my article analysis paper(hopefully with the aid of the assignment paper).tenna' telwan

Tuesday, September 21, 2004 - Bagginsses' Birthdays Tomorrow!
Yes, it is Frodo and Bilbo's birthday's tomorrow I must remember to celebrate, even though my fellow lotr junkie is no longer here, I am all alone, :(.
I should get on the computer more often, I feel very badly that this is the only site I usually update, and I hardly update this at all. I am afraid that cannot be helped though. School is just overdemanding, and then Mike, our wonderful new coach is making crew much more intense also, 2 miles of running a day before practice (not much I know, but I hate running, am particularly horrible at it, and I signed up for crew partly because there is no running involved). I am trying to get more involved with college search, SAT prep, and financial aid applying too. Only two or so more years before I really have to be all ready.bbl hopefully

Thursday, September 16, 2004 - Tiredness
I came home from crew today and just slept on the couch for like an hour. It is so sad, it is only like the 4th day of school and I am already dead tired. I am tired just sitting here at the computer, I got like no homework done at home today, I just have no energy left with which to complete it. And Mike, our new coach, wants us to come in tomorrow, on one of our precious off days, to erg. I tried telling him I had no ride home but he made sure he found a varsity girl who could provide transportation for me. I really do not feel like going at all. With my luck we will do a 2k or something which would be absolute hell cuz my leags already kill as it is and I am pretty out of shape and just overall tired so I will probably be at like 8:30 or something. Mike is crazy. I am ready to simply go down the the fireman's convention just to avoid crew tomorrow. I want to go to the mixer too tomorrow, Sarah, Noelle, and Erica are going too, along with a lot of frosh and some of the older crew girls are going also. I think I am just about done waiting for Sarah to email me, cuz I am so tired, I think I am going to go straight to bed. I apologize for being so uninteresting today, but I can't think straight enough to pair more than two words together unless they be I am tired, lol. namarie

No, lol, I'm just kidding. I won't admit to loving school itself, but I have to admit I enjoy learning, and would do so on my own, even if we weren't at school. Enough of me being a dork. FGirst real day of school, verdict: not too bad, I will make it through the year, with any luck. I didn't have three of my classes today, so I hung out with Steve all morning, lol. French was just simply whatever, 3 frosh in the class. Chem looks mad hard, I was definitly intimidated by Ms. Hughes. She seems nice enough, but as you hear in every honors course, "This is an honors course...blah,blah... it is all on you." Pretty boring in that class today. Pre-Calc, not bad either. It looks like it could be hard, but in the past math has not been a challenge for me so I doubt this will be either. She, my teacher Mrs. Maser, is also very nice and not really as boring as everyone had ade her out to be. I mean I was getting sleepy but that is only cuz it was last period (isn't it great to end the day with my two hardest classes:Chem and Pre-Calc, both honors) and I hadn't got much sleep the night before and it was hot.
Crew officially started today also. We have the guy coaching, forgive me but I forget his name. They were supposed to email us crap about the regatta schedule, but I haven't gotten anything yet so, who knows. I am not waiting much longer, I stil have stuff to do. We only did some rowing drills today to get back in the feel of rowing, I really needed it lol. I have to pick up, I really suck right now, hopefully I will improve a lot this year, erg score and technique wise. I still am not sure whether or not I am doing spring crew, cuz it is a lot of money, I need to get a job and I don't want to do a sport all three seasons, it is a lot and especially for sophomore year, which is the hardest. I should be going, adios

Friday, September 10, 2004 - School Commences
It wasn't too bad. I straightened my whole bus situation out, yay, right, lol. Roe, Steve, Michelle are all in my homeroom so we hung out all day. For the latter part of the day we sat in homeroom for an hour and a half, most of which I just talked to Gino and Cate Girone. My pictures probably look horrbile, I am just going to try and forget about them. We got our yearbooks finally today, also. They weren't too bad. I like the style that the Merchantville one's had better though. Have to change that for senior year, lol. I have a locker in martorelli, thank god. I am still a bottom, but I don't really mind all that much.
I talked to Cait today for like an hour. We might, although I doubt it, do something this weekend. I wish we could. The Sciulli's invited me to go with them and Sarah to the opening football game tomorrow too. I had to decline as I have absolutely no way of getting there, I would never even dream of asking Mom to take me. I can't wait to get my own car so I don't have to depend on everyone else to drive me everywhere.
Some Friday Fours...
1. It's been 3 years since 9.11.01. Does it feel like it? In some ways yes, it feels even longer. I can hardly remember a time when it comes to safety that we don't hear a mention of 9/11, or that when you think of airplanes that doesn't also accompany it in your mind.
2. Did you know anyone that died from the attacks directly?no
3. Indirectly? I knew some people who lost friends, and some firefighters in the area were killed (being from New Jersey)
4. Do you think it will happen again? The exact thing, of course not. Another terrorist attack of that multitude, most certainly especially in foreign countries. As for in our country, it all depends on our leader(s) and how they handle foreign affairs and the whole problem of terrorism.
Have you ever been in a:
1. Hurricane Yes, many, probably 1 on average a year. The most major one would have to have been Floyd in 99' I think. It toppled some trees, flooded, and damaged cars and rooves pretty badly.
2. Tornado No, I;ve only seen the movie, lol
3. Flood Only a very minor one recently when the dams in the area broke, I wasn't affected as badly as some others were.
4. Earthquakeno
hungy hungry hippos-conan---I was just watching Conan, being late at night as it is, with nothing else on 3,6,10,12(lol). He had Rumsfeld asking him to play Hungry, Hungry, Hippos. I used to love that game. It was really awesome, when I was little of course, lol.
I can't wait to see Wimbledon. I love Kirsten Dunst, a fellow Jersey girl. The guy isn't too bad looking either, I think I have seen him in something before, he sounds and looks so familiar. I love his Engliah accent too, British guys are fantastic, but scots and australians, I must admit are better, lol. Vanity Fair looks awesome too. Kate said it was really good. It has kind of a low-budget artsy type look to it. It looks really different. I love Reese Witherspoon also, she is just a fabulous actress.
I am going to attempt a review or just comment on Wicker Park (I'll save Master and Commander for another time after I have seen it again). Wicker Park was very good overall. It took a different approach in the order/sequence because the opening sequences are taken from the middle of the plot and you don't know anything about anyone. Everything in the scene is explained as the story goes on, though it does first lead you on some false ideas. It was a good mystery, a bit predictable, as you knew the ending (it was inevitable from the beginning though Kate made fun of me for urging Josh on during the movie, lol). There are unexpected twists and things. The plot was very good though as a whole. The acting was marvelous. I love Josh Hartnett, just as any other teenage girl, lol. You have to admit he is pretty hott, and a great actor. The two women were also very good, they both coincidentally also played the leading women in Troy: Helen and Cassandra (The Iliad I am still reading, quite slowly, but ever surely). The setting was nice, winter in Chicago mostly, somtimes NYC. Generally, I thought it was entertaining, just a general mystery picture, I don't know how good it would be seeing it a second time as there is not much else to it, but I could always go just for Josh, lol.
(btw-I am going to start putting a plylist with each entry, or at least try to if I can remember ,lol)

Thursday, September 9, 2004 - May Tomorrow Never Come
Yes, school starts tomorrow. I really would give a lot not to go back for a while yet. Summer went by unsually fast. June and July with the summer course felt like they never happened and August didn'tfeel much longer. I am all prepared though. I picked up my skorts, have all my books, and my backpack came in today, yay! I was so excited, I opened the door looking for it like five times, lol. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is kind of big. That will probably help during the year though, as I'm sure I will have no shortage of books to take home everyday.
I saw Wicker Park last night with Brice, Steve, Chelea and kate. It was a lot of fun, we went to the mall first and mostly hung out at the food court. Brice was the only person who bought anything, he purchased a cd and headphones at Sam Goody, and kept asking anyone if they had a cd player, and we are like, where would hide something that big. Kate was joking that she kept one in her shirt, lol. We all had fun, I tripped at the top of the stairs everytime we went up one. Wicker Park was good. I'll have to review that and Master and Commander next time I'm on. I want to get off now and get ready for tomorrow, yay, lol. I can't wait, yeah right. namarie

Just a short blog here before I have to go get ready for the carnival. It should be fun, a good group of my friends are going, and it is always nice to go out together. We are all meeting at Michelle's house before. I am really hoping I will fid someone in my Religeon and pre'calc classes becasue I haven't as of yet. It would really suck to be the only freshman*(correction-sophmore) in my pre-calc class. I actually have a better chance of knowing some upperclassman in it. I know that some of the seniors and and juniors are definitly taking that course.
I am still looking for a host for here. I sent a message to funky-pumpkin.org, but her site and internet is down so she probably won't get back to me. I just wanted to try because I absolutely love her site, it is just amazing and would be a great host. I will wait about a week or so, and then start looking for another one. I finally ordered my backpack last night too. Or rather my messenger bag, it is mad cool, I can't wait to get it. I also have all but 1 of the books I ordered offline for school and I sent my skorts to the tailor to get hemmed. I guess I am finally realizing school is here, though very much reluctantly. I don't even want to think about work, I should fix my histroy paper, as rewrites are due on the 20th, but I am not even going to bother til we get back. lol,oo well, ttyl
